How do you measure success?

I have been asked many times today how the craft show went this weekend. This got me thinking about how people judge success. For me, the show was a success. I had a great time with wonderful artists, spent time with a great friend, and made sales. What more could I ask for? More sales maybe but I'm sure everyone would agree with that. I also learned what to change for next time. So I am wondering what you all consider a successful show. Leave your opinion in my comments and I'll set up a poll for later in the week.

I think successful show is one where you have fun, learn what works and what doesn't - and make back your investment. Beyond that - it's all icing on the cake!

Of course, if you are spending three days - you also need to make enough to compensate for your time

I think success is through learning! did you learn what worked, what didn't, what people are looking for, what was working for other stalls, etc etc and then every show that follows will be that little bit more of a success....

Success is viewed differently by each person - I've done probably 20 shows and in my mind, each was a success but I guess I would gauge it that if you recover the craft fee, travel and food then it was successful. On top of that you usually hand out your business card and who knows what that might bring!
